It is only natural to want to provide your pets with many of the same pleasures that you and your family enjoy. If you plan to allow your dogs in the pool with you, realize that it can take time to properly teach them how to behave with others in the pool. Understand that every dog is different in the way they will enjoy swimming pools. Some are content with doggie-paddling around, which is excellent exercise for them. Others love a more robust experience and will dive for tossed toys and retrieve them. You may find that they enjoy themselves so much that they will play up to the point of utter exhaustion, so be careful to watch them. You may also need to use an enclosure to keep them from getting in when unattended.
